Amaya Setzer

Our next outstanding student is a student at Hickman County High School, Amaya Setzer. Amaya is an exceptional student whose achievements and involvement reflect her strong dedication to both academics and leadership. She has consistently ranked in the top ten of her class during her Freshman and Sophomore years, maintaining high academic standards while balancing a variety of extracurricular commitments. As an active member of the Beta Club, she demonstrates a commitment to scholarship, service, and integrity.

Beyond the classroom, Amaya is a vibrant part of student life at HCHS. She serves as the female representative for her grade on the Student Council, where she advocates for her peers and helps plan school activities. A cheerleader and a proud member of both FCA and Pride and Spirit, Amaya brings energy and enthusiasm to everything she does. She also contributes her creativity and confidence to homecoming events—especially the skits—and has appeared in three HCHS theater performances, showcasing her talent on stage.

In addition to her school involvement, Amaya maintains a part-time job, demonstrating impressive responsibility and time management. After high school, she plans to attend college to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy, combining her academic excellence and compassion to help others lead fulfilling lives.

Amaya’s balance of leadership, service, academics, and creativity exemplifies what it means to be a JAGTN student—driven, well-rounded, and ready to make a difference.
