Meet Sydnee Varden
Dickson County High School Senior Leads with Purpose
For Sydnee Varden, success means working toward her own goals while helping others reach theirs. A senior at Dickson County High School and an exemplary member of the JAGTN program, Sydnee brings dedication, compassion, and a strong work ethic to her school, workplace, and plans for the future.
As the JAG program’s sixth-period representative, Sydnee takes pride in being a voice for her classmates and contributing to the student leadership team. Whether she is lending a hand, participating in an activity, or encouraging a fellow student, she approaches each opportunity with enthusiasm and a willingness to serve. Her dependability and commitment to helping others succeed make her a valued member of the program.
Sydnee’s involvement extends to the Criminal Justice League and Art Club, reflecting her varied interests and desire to take an active role in her school community. Alongside these commitments, she maintains a 4.0 GPA and works 25 hours a week at Little Bite of Everything. She values the establishment and the people she works with, crediting that positive environment with encouraging her to make thoughtful choices in her daily life.
That same sense of purpose guides her career ambitions. Interested in medicine since childhood, Sydnee plans to become a dermatologist and practice in Tennessee. She hopes to pursue her medical education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis or Meharry Medical College in Nashville. Her motivation is personal and clear: she wants to help people feel more confident in their own skin.
As graduation approaches, Sydnee is already demonstrating the discipline and care for others that will support her ambitions. Through her academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to her responsibilities, she is building a strong foundation for the future she envisions. Dickson County High School and JAGTN have an outstanding student in Sydnee Varden—one whose determination is matched by her desire to make a meaningful difference.
