Meet Sam Rood

Sam Rood plans to pursue a degree in Nursing and aspires to continue playing football at the collegiate level. He credits Jobs for Tennessee Graduates (JAG) with providing the time and skills necessary to successfully apply to multiple colleges. Which he has received multiply offers.  

Sam’s accomplishments are truly outstanding. He was recently named to the Tennessee Football Coaches Association (TNFCA) All-State Team and has also earned recognition on the All-Area Team, the TSWA All-State Team, and as a three-time All-Region selection. In addition to his athletic achievements, Sam placed first in the Decision Making event at the JAGTN National Leadership Conference, all while maintaining an exceptional 4.32 GPA.

Reflecting on his experience, Sam shared that JAG has helped him develop interpersonal skills and build meaningful connections. His advice to underclassmen:
“Stay in school and make sure to take JAG.”
