Meet Kamiyah Waters

Maplewood High School | Class of 2027

Kamiyah Waters, a senior at Maplewood High School, continues to set the bar high both academically and professionally. Her commitment to success, strong work ethic, and willingness to take on new challenges make her an outstanding example of what it means to be a JAGTN student.

As a dedicated participant in Maplewood’s Work-Based Learning program, Kamiyah leaves campus at noon each day to report to Ascension West Hospital. There, she works in Patient Transfer, demonstrating maturity, reliability, professionalism, and genuine care for others. Her experience gives her the opportunity to build valuable workplace skills while making a meaningful contribution in a healthcare setting.

Kamiyah’s drive extends beyond the classroom and workplace. She was recently accepted onto Maplewood’s debate team, providing another opportunity for her voice, leadership, confidence, and critical-thinking skills to shine.

Whether she is succeeding in the classroom, serving others in the workplace, or preparing to make her voice heard through debate, Kamiyah continues to demonstrate the determination and professionalism that JAGTN strives to develop in every student.
