Meet Alyssa Edwards

Trezevant High School | Senior

Alyssa Edwards, a senior at Trezevant High School, has been selected as a JAGTN Outstanding Student in recognition of her remarkable growth, commitment, and leadership throughout her time in the JAG program.

Alyssa exemplifies the qualities JAGTN strives to develop in every student: responsibility, perseverance, leadership, and the confidence to step outside of her comfort zone. Throughout her JAG experience, she has grown tremendously, becoming more confident in communicating with others, setting goals, working as part of a team, and advocating for herself.

An active participant in JAG activities, Alyssa has demonstrated a genuine commitment to making positive choices and preparing for her future. She has shown determination when facing challenges, continuing to work toward graduation and her long-term goals. Her ability to learn from her experiences, persevere, and continue moving forward is a testament to her resilience and character.

Following graduation, Alyssa plans to attend Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she hopes to pursue a career in architecture. The confidence, employability skills, leadership abilities, and strong work ethic she has developed through JAGTN will serve her well as she begins this exciting next chapter.

Alyssa’s journey is a wonderful example of what JAGTN is all about—growth, resilience, leadership, and preparing young people for successful futures. She has made meaningful progress, embraced opportunities to grow, and demonstrated that she is capable of achieving the goals she has set for herself.
