Meet Keilen Newson

Our next Outstanding Student comes from Trezevant High School in Memphis, where senior JAGTN member Keilen is setting a strong example for his peers. Known for his dependability, leadership, and consistent effort, Keilen has earned the respect of both his classmates and his teacher, Mr. Aaron DeRung.

Mr. DeRung shares, “Keilen has demonstrated the ability to lead through actions. He has attended class regularly, participated actively, and completed all tasks with fidelity.” Keilen’s commitment to showing up, staying engaged, and giving his best effort every day reflects the values at the heart of JAGTN.

As a senior, Keilen’s leadership is particularly impactful. Younger students look to him as a model of responsibility and dedication, and he has embraced that role with quiet strength and consistency. His actions prove that leadership isn’t just about words—it’s about discipline, follow-through, and setting the standard for others to follow.
